it's something similar to sea monkeys, you put them into some special solution (in this case in Singapore's very clean tap water) and give it a couple of days to grow into something special..
the special egg in a special solution.. hmm..

it had expanded pretty much since this pic was taken and i say it still looks very mutated..
i'm gonna leave it to dry and maybe play with it for awhile or i can let it fight with jing's muahahaha! (:

got back various test papers today and i somehow all wasn't as well done..
and i'm definitely not feeling too good bout it.. demoralised actually ):
i keep telling myself that ultimately it's the A's that matters but it's just that the amount of work i put in isn't proportionate to the results obtained..
i can't say that i've transformed into a true blue mugger yet but at least i know that i'm making an effort to start doing my tutorials despite the reluctance to do so.. and somehow after awhile.. i actually enjoy doing some of the tutorials.. arghh..
i'm used to getting lousy grades in j1 cuz i haven't been dutifully doing tutorials nor have i truly understood most of the topics at hand..
but j2 is different.. i see myself solving tutorial questions.. participating in class discussion cuz i know wad's going on..
i'm positive bout improving in terms of understanding of the contents however when it comes to tests, testing out the knowledge that i've acquired so far, i just dun seem to convince myself that i'm working hard enough.. and this is depressing ):
ah well.. i will simply brush off failure a few days later but i seriously hope for the better..
otherwise.. i might(unlikely) give up or it'll be (likely) a school-home-study-school routine.. sighs

i could see the screen so clearly now yay!

and rest of school was somewhat the same.. mundane tutorials and econs bombardment..
(haha.. heng heng says that she has to eliminate bout 90% of the class cuz of lousy grades for econs test! why not eliminate the 10%? hmmm..)
the juniors having enrichment week (blah!) so school is pretty much empty/ bustling with random activities..

heyo!
more kayaking today and whee, i officially have my one star kayaking cert.. lol!
weather wasn't crazy today but definitely wasn't being kind..
it started raining when we kayaked out to the deeper waters to do rescue drill.. boo!
but thankfully it wasn't a thunderstorm.. phew.. water conducts electricity and we are surrounded with nothing but a huge body of water.. drain water actually.. eww!
other than the wet and cold part.. everything else was fun.. raft up was a confusion and capsizing was exhilarating!
so now after a day of kayaking.. i think i having sea sickness..

hello!
went for kayaking course at kallang basin today!
the weather was being crazy!
rain, sun, rain, sun.. and this repeated itself for a considerable number of times during the course..
we started of with the theory of kayaking and the PERSONAL FLOATING DEVICE, MY LIFE SAVIOUR.
then we went into the cold cold waters and started swimming-.-
then we got comfortable with our kayaks and started the capsize drill..
here goes:
1. feel scared
2. check depth of water with paddle
3. put paddle to one side
4. start shaking my ass side to side (i like this!)
5. flip over! while holding ur breath (HAHA.. BREATHLESS BY SHAYNE IS ON 98.7 NOW!)
6. think of wad the next step is while underwaters
7. TAP 3 TIMES while still holding on to the boat -.-
8. get out ON THE PADDLE SIDE
9. human instinct sets in: breathe!
10. swim to the front of kayak
11. shout HELP like for real!
haha.. repeated this twice before kayaking ard and breaking for lunch
i think it drizzled a few times during this routine
so lunch was.. cold, wet and ewww!
we were supposed to settle out lunch with our clothes all wet..
so we walked to the army market.. looking like we just walked out of .. um.. rain! (which we did)
haha.. sitting down was eww.. so was getting up of the seat..
(gonna do this AGAIN tmr!)
right so..
went back for the next few hours of kayaking..
was supposed to kayak out into the deeper waters..
however.. THE WEATHER WAS CRAZY..
so it started raining when we were warming up ard the club area..
it was raining really heavily with lightning and yes thunder..
wad a boo boo!
so we went up shore and stone..

and yay the rain subsided but it was time to end the session and bathe ):
oh wells!
tmr we will do more cool stuff like kayak to the marina barrage and get suck in by the fast moving waters woohoo!
kidding la.. cuz it would most probably rain tmr and we'll be stuck around the club area doing more capsizing and learn how to rescue ppl!

which means sadly, the increment of hw termed as HOLIDAY HOMEWORK or COMPULSORY ASSIGNMENTS or REVISION PACKAGES or purely CATCHING UP OF WORK..
things to achieve by end of hols
1. get L1 kayaking cert
2. go for overdue shopping
3. meet up with friends!
4. complete all homework (excluding revision package)
5. plan my common test studying time table and psycho myself to follow it conscientiously
6. file up notes
7. go for a run
8. achieve the things that i forgot to include in this post

i finally found a way to describe this movie.
GOOD STORYLINE however UNSATISFACTORY PORTRAYAL OF PLOT.
firstly, the time ananda and lilin spent together (a couple of hours in each leap day is just not enough to start my tears rolling.. though julie was sniffing away haha!
secondly, i dun like 715 so it's kind of a turn off and i dun feel like crying for him cuz lilin decides to choose ananda (good choice!)
and thirdly, ananda's hair is too long.. he should cut it short and whoa! HOT!!

MOVIE TIX AT CATHAY IS 10 DOLLARS FOR WEEKENDS! WTH!

we had the band, staff wish lou happy birthday (though it's belated)
poor lou was maluated big time cuz he was asked to stand on the chair and hold a sparkler while and staff and us sang him his bdae song!

went for my first national vertical marathon today!
it was one good experience.
sweat it out! pant it out! ache it out!
and i managed to climb the 60 storeys not with the best timing but i say i did my best!
so yay!

many many tests lined up for this week and i can't wait to take a breather on friday!
